The District Child Protection Unit, Bathinda (Punjab Government) has declared that 10 Support Persons have been empanelled as per Section 39 of the POCSO Act, 2012, as per the NCPCR Model Guidelines. Interested qualified applicants of Bathinda District holding the required qualification and experience in child protection can apply through Registered Post before 30th October 2025. The appointment on basis of merit, qualification, experience and interview. The empanelment is by contract, (3 years initial) at 600 per court visit, depending on the availability of budget. Mandatory police verification.

FAQs
It is open to candidates who are not below 21 years old and not older than 65 years old and also living in Bathinda District with the necessary educational requirements. The qualifications required of the applicants are either a postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or Child Development or graduate degree with at least three years experience in child education, protection or development. Further favoritism comes to those who are affiliated to well-known NGOs, homes of children or the employees of DCPU.
The applicants interested should get the application form on the official website of the district of Bathinda and fill it with personal, educational and professional information. All the necessary self attested documents such as certificates, identification documents and residential documents should be attached. The final application must be sent through the Registered Post to the office of DCPO in Bathinda only. Online applications through emails, hand deliveries or mail will not be accepted.
The selection is through shortlisting in terms of educational qualifications, experience and document checking. The shortlisted candidates shall be requested to an interview by the Selection Committee, the DCPO being the convener. The last empanelment is the merit based one and jobs are on contract. Applicants are to pay attention to the fact that the remuneration, the training and the assignment of cases are to be approved by the government and availability of funds.
