Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), one of the best Navratna companies under the Ministry of Defense, has released the MDL Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025-26 for Engineering Diploma, Engineering Graduate and General Stream Graduate Apprentices. Indian nationals who are eligible can apply online for one-year apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973. Selection Process
- The applications will be received through the MDL Apprentice portal.
- The shortlisting will be done according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
- Candidates will be called for document verification and an interview at MDL, Mumbai.
- The final merit list will be prepared maintaining 80% weightage for the qualification marks and 20% weightage for the interview marks.
- The selected candidates must attend document verification and the interview on the date and time scheduled.

- Visit the official MDL website https://mazagondock.in
- Navigate to Career section to find the Apprentice for “Advt. No. – MDLATS/02/2025”.
- Register with valid information and click on “Submit”.
- Applicants must first confirm their registration through the email verification link and then access the portal using their username and password.
- There, within the job under the Apprentice tab, review the eligibility criteria.
- Uploading Passport Size Photo, Signature & certificates scanned copies.
- Register on the NATS 2.0 portal and submit registration number with the application.
- Carefully preview application and make corrections, if required then click on “Submit”.
- There is no need to send a hard copy to MDL.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. has started the MDL Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025-26 Program, which will give graduates (Engineering Degree or Engineering Diploma Holders) – one-year training at MDL, Mumbai and will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience from one of the best defence shipbuilding companies.
Nationals from India aged 18 to 27 years as of March 01, 2026 are eligible for the apprenticeship programme. Qualification requirements are an approved diploma or degree in Engineering or General Streams (e.g., BBA, B.Com, BCA or BSW) completed on or after April 1, 2021. Reserved categories and persons with disabilities are eligible to apply with an age relaxation.
The initial stage of the selection process consists of candidates with the highest marks in their qualifying examination being shortlisted. At the time of document verification and interview, the shortlisted candidates will have to attend the MDL, Mumbai facility. A merit list will be created, which is comprised of 80% academic marks and 20% interview performance.
