HTET Notification 2026 – Released

Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 has been announced by Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). This exam would be conducted offline on January 17-18, 2026 (tentative) in three levels namely Primary (Level 1), TGT (Level 2) and PGT (Level 3). All candidates are allowed to apply online via the official portal and a qualifying gives a lifetime eligibility certificate. The applicants to Government Jobs in Haryana are advised to keep replying to the official site to get updated on the admit cards and exam timetable.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: No upper age limit for appearing in HTET

Application Fee

General / OBC / EWS (Including candidates from outside Haryana):

  • Level 1 (PRT): Rs. 1,000/-
  • Level 2 (TGT): Rs. 1,800/-
  • Level 3 (PGT): Rs. 2,400/-

SC / PH (Haryana Domicile only):

  • Level 1 (PRT): Rs. 500/-
  • Level 2 (TGT): Rs. 900/-
  • Level 3 (PGT): Rs. 1,200/-

Application Mode

  • Online only through the official portal

Selection Process

  • Written Test: 150 multiple choice item, offline OMR based test. Qualification: 60 percent (90/150) in General category; 55 percent (82/150) in reserved categories (SC/PH of Haryana).
  • Eligibility Certificate: The candidates who complete the qualification are awarded with a lifetime validity HTET certificate.
  • No Merit List or Further Stages: HTET is qualifying only; the certificate allows one to apply to separate teacher recruitment drives in the Haryana schools.

Steps to Check and Download HTET Notification 2026

  • Visit the official BSEH website bseh.org.in or the dedicated portal htet.eapplynow.com.
  • Locate and click on the “HTET 2026 Registration” or “Apply Online” link on the homepage.
  • Register with a valid email ID and mobile number to check OTP.
  • Create an account using the credentials and complete the application form using correct personal, academic and category information.
  • Provide documentation, scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression in the form of required documents.
  • Select the level to appear for: Level 1 (PRT), Level 2 (TGT) and/or Level 3 (PGT).
  • Make the necessary examination fee in the online payment gateway.
  • Go through the form and submit it and download the confirmation page.
  • Print out application form and fee receipt to be referred to.
