IIT GATE Admit Card 2026 – Released

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has officially published the hall tickets of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026). This competitive test is done to gain entry to the Master programmes as well as to secure employment by different Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The IIT GATE 2026 Admit Card is now available in the official GOAPS portal to the candidates who have been registered. This exam is also regarded as a filter to those aspirants seeking the Central Government Jobs in India. The test will be conducted on the following dates, February 07, 08, 14 and 15, 2026.

  • Passed or currently appearing in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program.
  • Degrees in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce or Arts are accepted.

    societies (recognized by MoE/UPSC/AICTE) are also eligible.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC / EWS (Phase 1): Rs. 2,000/-
  • SC / ST / PwD / All Female (Phase 1): Rs. 1,000/-
  • General / OBC / EWS (Extended Phase): Rs. 2,500/-
  • SC / ST / PwD / All Female (Extended Phase): Rs. 1,500/-

Pay Scale

  • M.Tech Stipend: Rs. 12,400/- per month (for qualified candidates pursuing post-graduation).
  • Ph.D. Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- to Rs. 42,000/- per month (as per JRF/SRF norms).
  • PSU Recruitment: Pay scales vary by organization, typically ranging from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,60,000/- (E-2 Grade).

Steps to Check and Download GATE Admit Card 2026

  • Go to the official IIT GATE 2026 site on gate2026.iitg.ac.in to begin your application.
  • To register as a new candidate, click the IIT GATE 2026 Online Application link.
  • Fill in all the necessary personal information, set a password and register.
  • Enter details on qualifications, contact information and other details required to fill in the application form.
  • View scanned photograph, signature and other necessary documents of your recent photograph.
  • Make application fee online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or E-Challan.
  • Thoroughly examine everything typed in the application form and send it online.
  • Print out the application form that has been submitted clearly to be used later in doing reference.
  • Keep your Application Number and Password secure, as you will need them to download the Admit Card.
