CTET February Exam Date 2026 – Released
Posted on: January 23, 2026Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially stated the date of the examinations of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session. This Central Teacher Eligibility Test Notification is a compulsory one to those who want to have a teaching job in government schools like KVS or NVS and other central schools and thus this is a significant part of all India government job updates. The test in Paper I and Paper II will be done in February 08, 2026. Students that passed their application process on time till December 18, 2025, are now ready to receive the release of the CTET Admit Card 2026. Application Fee
- General/OBC (Single Paper): Rs. 1,000/-
- General/OBC (Both Papers): Rs. 1,200/-
- SC/ST/PH (Single Paper): Rs. 500/-
- SC/ST/PH (Both Papers): Rs. 600/-
Pay Scale
- Primary Teacher (PRT): Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,200/-.
- Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600/-.
- Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,800/-.
- Allowances: Teachers are entitled to HRA, DA and TA as per the 7th Pay Commission.
Selection Process for CTET February Exam Date 2026
- Offline Pen-and-Paper based test with 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Performance.
- General category candidates should attain a minimum of 60 percent that is 90 out of 150 marks.
- Conditional prerequisite of SC, ST, OBC and PwD category applicants to attain minimum 55% or 82 out of 150 marks.
- Establishment of qualifications to specific teaching levels according to qualifying Paper I, Paper II or both.
- Introduction of a CTET Eligibility Certificate to every candidate that qualifies based on qualifying criteria with a lifetime validity.
How to Apply for CTET February Exam Date 2026
- Access the official CTET portal at ctet.nic.in to start the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test Notification.
- Click on the New Candidate Registration link to create a new Application Number.
- Complete online form with personal information such as name, parentage and date of birth.
- Enter personal data including a working mobile phone number, email address and mailing address.
- Give the information about educational backgrounds and degrees or diplomas in the field of teaching.
- Select the papers or papers that one wants and select examination center preferences based on the city list.
- Provide a scanned passport-size picture and signature in the format of JPG or JPEG.
- Make the required examination fee through internet debit card, credit card and net banking.
- Check all the information entered and then submit the application finally.
- Download the CTET Admit Card 2026 and the final Confirmation Page as proof of successful registration.
