Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official schedule for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) through the Centralized Employment Notification CEN-01/2025. As part of this all India Government job notification process, a large number of technical professionals will be able to apply for a job with the Indian Railways. A total of 9,970 ALP jobs is available for recruitment in 21 separate regional zones. The last date for submission of application forms was May 19th, 2026, therefore candidates must have a sufficient amount of time to study for the Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates are now able to download and review the RRB ALP Question Paper PDF 2025 so they can gauge their preparation level and understand how challenging the test may be.
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10th).
Must possess an ITI certificate in relevant trades or a Diploma/Degree in Engineering.

Selection Process for RRB ALP Exam Date 2026
Phase 1 of the CBT Phase 1 of the Railway ALP Selection Process CEN 01/2025 will include an initial screening test using questions developed from the Railway ALP CBT 1 Syllabus 2026.
Phase 2, which is a Trade Specific or Group Test, is the second phase of the Railway ALP Selection Process CEN 01/2025 and will be a Trade Specific or Group test.
A psychological evaluation called the CBAT (Cognitive Behavioral Assessment Tool) will be used for assessing candidates applying for the position of ALP.
Candidates applying for the position of ALP will have to undergo a Medical Examination that will evaluate their fitness and determine if they meet the A-1 standard during the final evaluation of documents.

From there, go to “Notice” and then “Recruitment”.
You should see a notification for “CEN 01/2025 – Recruitment for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)“.
