• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years

Age Relaxation

• Upper age limit for SC/ST: 5 years
• Upper age limit for OBC (NCL): 3 years
• PwBD Relaxation: Up to 10 years relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Govt. rules.

Application Fee

• General/ OBC/ EWS Candidates: Rs. 700/-
• SC/ ST/ PwBD: Rs. 200/-

Pay Scale

• Training Period: SAIL hires candidates on Management Trainee (Technical) positions in E1 grade with a basic pay of Rs. 50,000/- per month under the SAIL MT Technical Salary and Job Profile.
• On Regularization: After one year of training, the candidates are promoted to the position of Assistant Managers and provided a pay scale of Rs. 60,000/- to Rs. 1,80,000
• Total CTC: The company offers an approximate CTC of Rs. 16,00,000/- per annum, excluding any other statutory benefits.
• Additional Benefits: DA, cafeteria approach perquisites, HRA and medical facilities are provided for the employees.

Selection Process for SAIL MT Admit Card 2026

• Candidates must appear for an objective type online examination; referring to SAIL Management Trainee Previous Year Papers is highly recommended for exam readiness, as is the case with all govt jobs in India.
• SAIL will shortlist aspirants for the next stage in a ratio of 1:3 per post based on CBT performance.
