How to Apply for AIIMS Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025
- Visit www.aiims.edu and navigate to the “Notice” section, then click on “Recruitment.”
- Then click on ” AIIMS Recruitment” and Search for “Advertisement of Post: Assistant Professor” and consult both, the newspaper advertisement and the corrigendum notice that is also on the website.
- The application portal will open on October 11, 2025. The “Apply Now” button will be available beginning October 11, 2025 until the end of the business day (5:00 PM) on October 18, 2025.
- Once the “Apply Now” button is activated, complete the online application accurately.
- Upload all required documents in PDF format (2MB max), including a government issued age proof, educational and experience certificates, a category certificate (if appropriate), NOC (if applicable), your signature and your photograph.
- Pay the application fee online, General/OBC – Rs. 3000, EWS/SC/ST – Rs. 2400 (refunded when SC/ST candidates’ attend an interview), PwBD – no fees.
- Complete the application and pay the fee.
- Please note your application reference number and print a copy of the completed application for your records.
FAQs
At present, 27 Assistant Professor posts have been notified in various medical and dental departments. Additionally, these jobs are available on a contractual basis for one year, which may be further extended to two years as per the needs of institutions and performance. Hence, applicants must thoroughly verify the vacancies department-wise prior to applying.
The candidates are required to have an MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh, MDS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the concerned specialty. Yet, postgraduates who do not possess a medical qualification can also apply for some subjects such as Pharmacology. Besides that, the candidates need to have at least three years of teaching or research experience after finishing their postgraduate degree.
First, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of academic records, teaching experience and published research work. Thereafter, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview by AIIMS. Lastly, selection will be made on interview performance and overall merit assessment.
