- Merit will be calculated on the basis of total marks obtained in Intermediate, Graduation and Post-Graduation.

- The highest preference will be given to widows belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
- The second preference will be given to legally divorced or abandoned women belonging to the BPL category.
