Selection Process

The application is free to Ex-Servicemen who are either Indian Army, Navy or Air Force and their rank is that of a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). The candidate should possess 3-year Diploma in Engineering or in related fields like Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication or Electrical. Also, hands-on experience in the maintenance of electronic equipment in the Defence Forces must be at least 15 years of post-qualification experience.
The first stage will be a written test of the eligible candidates. Shortlisting will be done according to the qualifications to shortlist for an interview at a ratio of 1:7. The information about the venue, date and time will be distributed through email. The selection will be done by considering the overall performance in both stages and it will be given preference to candidates who have met all the eligibility requirements and have the necessary post-qualification experience.
The applications should be sent by ordinary post or speed post. The application form, together with self-certified copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, discharge papers and identity proof, should be submitted to the prescribed BEL address in Bengaluru. Email or online submissions will not be accepted and incomplete applications will be rejected.
