- Glasses: Not allowed for the General Duty branch.
- Appeal Medical: Within 14 days of Stage-II within 5 working days of Stage-III and final.

Four-Stage Journey From Written Test to Verification
- Stage-I is a computer-based test with 100 bilingual objective questions and no negative marking. Candidates need 40 marks for UR/EWS/OBC and 35 marks for SC/ST to qualify.
- The recruitment team verifies identity through live image, left thumb biometric, signature and identification marks at every stage. Any mismatch can lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Stage-II consists of Upload of documents, Centre Selection, Physical Fitness Test, Assessment and Adaptability Test, Verification of documents and Recruitment Medical.
- The PFT is a race in which a boy has to run 1.6 km in 6 min 30 s while performing 20 squats, 15 push ups and 15 sit ups. Females are required to do the run in 8 minutes, 15 squats, 10 pushups and 10 sit-ups.
- At stage-III of INS Chilka, there is Aadhaar verification, Document Verification, Pre Enrolment Medical and Police Verification. The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India under Central Government Jobs in India.
- Stage-IV checks the original documents with concerned authorities. The terminating may be caused by fake documents and final merit will be on the basis of Stage-I marks and Stage-II qualification.
