Age Limit and Relaxations (as on Jan 1, 2026)

• Stenographer Grade-II: 18 to 27
• Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years
• Multi-Tasking Staff: 18 to 25
• Eligible sports persons can make use of an age concession of 5 years. SC/ST candidates can take advantage of an age concession of 10 years.
• This age concession is available to only those candidates who fulfill all other criteria for eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Pune Sports Quota Recruitment 2026

In addition to meeting eligibility requirements for the Income Tax Sports Quota Recruitment 2026, candidates should also fulfill the following order of preference in sports:

• Prioritize those who have been selected to represent India in any international games event with due permission from the Department of Sports.
• Then come in those who have either been senior/junior athletes and won a place up to third position by representing their state/union territory in a championship or national games.
• Then come in those who have won a place up to third position in any inter-university championship or Khelo India University Games by representing their university.
• Moving forward, those who have represented the state in Khelo India Youth/Winter/Para games and secured podium positions will be the next target.
• The order of priority will be to those represented their states in National School Games with 1, 2, 3 places.
• The sixth priority should be given to the participants who had enough experience during these levels but could not attain any medal/position.

Pay Structure for Selected Candidates

Those selected will be recruited on the basis of 7th CPC Pay Matrix as under:

• Stenographer Grade-II: Pay Level 4, ranging from Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 81,100/-.
• Tax Assistant: Pay Level 4, ranging from Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 81,100/-.
• Multi-Tasking Staff: Pay Level 1, ranging from Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 56,900/-.

Application Fee Structure

• Application Fee: Rs. 200/ (Two Hundred Rupees only).
• All candidates should make the payment online and provide proof along with their application.
• Applications without the specified fee will not be considered.
• Fees will not be refunded once the department has received your payment.

Selection Process and Skill Test Requirements for Income Tax Pune Sports Quota Recruitment 2026

• The department will evaluate candidates on the basis of preference in sport along with valid certificates issued by authorities.
• For Stenographer Grade-II, the chosen candidates need to qualify a skill test. It includes a 10 minutes dictation at a speed of 80 words per minute, followed by typing at 50 words per minute in English and 65 words per minute in Hindi using computer.
• For Tax Assistant, the candidates need to qualify Data Entry Skill Test at a speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.
• The department will ensure medical fitness of all candidates before formal appointment.
• The candidates will be required to pass the doping tests done by the World Anti Doping Agency or National Anti Doping Agency. Also, candidates should mention that there is no inquiry going on with regard to unfair means in sporting activities against them.
• The candidates selected will be posted through the Pr. CCIT, Government Jobs in Maharashtra scheme, particularly in the Pune area. The selected candidates will be on probation for two years as per prevailing government guidelines.
• Selection will also be subject to police verification clearance of candidates from their present place of residence.

• EducationProof: Certificate of the requisite educational qualification.
• Caste Certificate: Certificate with respect to SC / ST community etc.

• PwBD Documents: Copy of the certificate of disability issued by the competent authority. If applicable, copy of the UDID card.
• NOC: Required for the candidates who are eligible & working in government departments/organizations/PSU‘s.

• Declaration: Declaration concerning doping and/or unfair practices in sports.
• Required Evidence: One or more documents of eligibility to play sports issued from the appropriate authority (single document of confirmation).

• Original Certificates: Candidates selected for interview will be required to produce their original certificates when summoned by the department.
• Traveling Allowance: There is no traveling allowance for joining recruitment to Pune.
