Monthly Stipend Structure
- Trade Apprentices: Rs. 9,600/- per month or as per rates laid down by MSDE, Government of India
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 12,300/- per month
- Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 10,900/- per month
- Sharing of Payment: For Graduate and Diploma apprentices, Bhilai Steel Plant shares 50% payment, while the rest of the 50% comes from BOPT through the DBT scheme.
- Account: The bank account should be DBT eligible and KYC done.
- Housing: There is no accommodation and apprentices will have to make their own arrangements for it.
- Travel Allowance: No travel allowance is provided by the steel plant to candidates.

Selection Process for SAIL BSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Shortlisting: The candidates shall be shortlisted based on their academic merits through the process of walk-in.
- Weightage: 30% weightage is given to the marks secured in Class X and 70% weightage is for Degree/Diploma/ITI.
- Walk-In Eligibility: Walk-In is only allowed for such candidates who have already filled in the form through the relevant website.
