Selection Process
- Selection is based on a written test of 100 MCQs, 1 mark each, on OMR sheets.
- No negative marking.
- Mental Ability, Quantitative & Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, CIL/SECL Knowledge and Subject Knowledge are assessed.
- Qualifying marks: General – 35%, SC/ST – 30%.
- Merit list is prepared based on written test marks in descending order.
- Tie-break criteria: Date of appointment, date of birth and then alphabetical order of names.

- Register or log in using a valid phone number and email ID.
- Fill in the application form with accurate details.
- Upload clear and legible documents (Mining Sirdar: Unrestricted Mining Sirdarship Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Gas Testing Certificate, 3-year underground work experience certificate, Matriculation certificate; Junior Overman: 3-year Diploma in Mining Engineering, Gas Testing Certificate, First Aid Certificate, 1-year post-diploma training certificate, Matriculation certificate).

FAQs
SECL Recruitment 2025 Eligibility: Candidates must be permanent employees of SECL, other CIL subsidiaries or CIL HQ and with completed probation. Mining Sirdar applicants should possess valid certificates and 3 years of underground experience, whereas the applicants of the Junior Overman must be a graduate of Mining Engineering and have 1 year of after-diploma practical training. There are also CR and attendance requirements to be met by the applicants.
Applications need to be made online via the SECL internal portal by October 30, 2025. The form in question should be sent to the employees of other CIL subsidiaries by e-mail by November 15, 2025 and by mail to SECL HQ by November 18, 2025. Admission and update will be sent to the email as well as the official site.
