- Selection for BPSC TRE-4.0 is based on a written test only and there is no interview stage.
- The Preliminary Examination is an objective type qualifying test of General Studies with 150 marks of two hour duration.
- The Preliminary Examination consists of one mark and a mark and a half are deducted for every incorrect answer.
- The candidates who pass in the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear for the Main Examination.
- The Main Examination is an objective type Examination consisting of Language paper, General Studies paper and Subject papers each for 150 marks, negative marking will be applied to the same.
