FAQs
The appointee shall be posted in BDL’s Corporate Office in Hyderabad, Telangana. Posting can include liaison with the Ministry of Defence and other government ministries. Periodical official travel in India can also be included as part of leadership onus.
The candidates must be 45 years old or above and have a degree in Engineering, CA, ICWA or an MBA/PGDIM from a well-known university. The candidates must have five years’ combined experience in Defence or Heavy Engineering companies in the past decade. The candidates could be from CPSEs, Government departments or well-known private organizations with a turnover of Rs. 1,000/- crore or more.
There is a thorough scrutiny by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). The shortlisted candidates will undergo examination based on their education qualification, management experience, leadership potential and general fitment for the job. Appointment is subject to approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
