AIIMS New Delhi Junior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 220 Posts
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in fact, has come out with the official announcement for Junior Resident (Non-Academic) MBBS/BDS posts for January 2026 session (from January 01, 2026 till June 30, 2026). A total of 220 vacancies is open across various departments such as Emergency Medicine, Trauma Centre Surgery, Burns and Plastic Surgery, CDER and several other units. Selection Process
- The preference will be given to MBBS graduates passing from AIIMS New Delhi based on their MBBS marks.
- Other seats: Merit according to INI-CET January 2026 rank → For Non-INI-CET candidates, rank will be decided on MBBS percentage/MCI screening marks.
- Online choice filling of the department at the time of application.
- Online seat allocation/counselling as per the combined merit and choice preference.

FAQs
AIIMS New Delhi has declared that there are 220 Junior Resident vacancies in January- June 2026 and the vacancies were announced in the MBBS/BDS graduate category. The applications are only accepted online between December 5 and 19, 2025. The JR contract is half of a year with pay on Level 10. Applicants should be qualified in terms of academic, registration and term-limit.
Applicants have to have finished MBBS/BDS with internship between January 01, 2026 and December 31, 2025 and be registered with valid DMC/DDC. Applicants who already have served three JR terms or have been fired previously are not allowed. Merit is founded on INI-CET score or academic percentage.
AIIMS initially offers its MBBS graduates seats depending on the marks of professional exams. The remaining seats are completed in a joint merit list based on either INI-CET ranks or MBBS/BDS aggregate scores. Online counseling is conducted to the candidates according to merit and departments according to the openings.
