JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 1815 Posts
Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a post adopting the recruitment of the Executive Constables in 2025. The candidate should have valid domicile certificate of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to be applied. There are 1815 posts on advert on the Home Department. The online application portal will be available from January 19, 2026 to February 17, 2026. Applicants must lace up their eligibility criteria such as domicile requirement, educational qualification, age limit and prescribed physical standards. Physical Endurance Test (PET)
For Male Candidates
- Long Race: 1600 meters in 6½ minutes
- Push-ups: 20 (one cycle counted as one)
For Female Candidates
- Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes
- Shot Put (4 Kg): 14½ feet in 3 attempts
Selection Process
- An objective multiple-choice written examination to be conducted in English with negative marking of one-fourth per wrong answer and bonus marks for NCC certificate holders.
- Shortlisting of the candidates for the Physical Standard Test to be on the basis of written merit at six times the number of vacancies.
- Physical Standard Test consists of measuring height and chest for males; for females, only height is checked with relaxations for some communities.
- The Physical Endurance Test shall include running and push-ups for the males, running and shot put for the females and relaxed norms for ex-servicemen.
- Document verification and the medical examination new final selection of candidates as part of eligibility, authenticity of certificates and physical fitness tests.
