Jharkhand Home Guard Recruitment 2025-26 – Apply Online for 810 Posts
Garhwa District, Jharkhand Grih Raksha Vahini (Home Defence Corps) has also announced the Home Guard Enrollment Recruitment 2025-26 (Advertisement No. 01/2025) based on voluntary work as Rural and Urban Home Guards. The invitation to apply online is provided to the candidates that fit the eligibility criteria between December 26, 2025 and January 24, 2026. Recruitment will be done on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Hindi Writing Ability Test, Technical Skill Test (on urban technical posts), merit list, medical examination, character verification and training. The applicants will be successfully registered to study 4 years at Garhwa District. The recruitment is a good opportunity to those candidates who are in need of Government Defence Jobs in India.

Physical Standards
- Height (Male): 162 cm (General/OBC/BC categories); 157 cm (SC/ST categories).
- Height (Female): 148 cm (all categories).
- Chest (Male only): 79 cm (General/OBC/BC categories); 76 cm (SC/ST categories).
- Applicability: Same standards for both Rural and Urban Home Guard posts.
Selection Process
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consisting of 1 km running, high jump, long jump and shot put with distinct requirements of male/female and technical/non-technical applicants.
- Administering Hindi Writing Ability Test (qualifying in nature, depending on 7th standard in the case of rural applicants and 10th standard in the case of urban applicants).
- Technical Skill Test of the candidates of urban technical category (qualifying in nature).
- The merit list preparation has been done on the basis of PET performance and other marks depending on sport performances.
- Conducting mandatory basic training of qualified applicants in the headquarters.
- Provision of final enrollment certificate after successful completion of training of a period of 4 years.
