Assam Police Notification 2026 Out for 2972 Posts
State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has issued a notification for the recruitment of 2972 posts that include Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Sub-Officer, Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman (Constable), Bugler and Boatman. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens who are permanent residents of Assam from January 22, 2026 to February 22, 2026. 10th pass Assam Police Jobs provide such an opportunity and candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria with respect to educational qualifications and prescribed age limits, physical standards and other requirements. Selection will be based on Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Test, Walking Test (for certain posts), Oral/Viva Voce and additional tests like Trade Proficiency or Swimming & Boating (as applicable).

Selection Process
- PET (3200m/1600m race + long jump) + Medical + PST (qualifying)
- Written Test (100 marks for Forester-I / 50 marks for others)
- Walking Test (26 km male / 16 km female, qualifying for Forest posts)
- Oral/Viva Voce (5 marks) + Trade/Swimming & Boating Test (if applicable)
- Final Merit List (PET + Written + Viva + NCC weightage)
How to Apply for Assam Police Notification 2026
- Visit the official SLPRB website at https://slprbassam.in
- Go to Recruitment section to find the “SLPRB/REC/FG-I & CONST./FOREST-APRO-ETC /731/2025/134” notice.
- Register only using your name (as per HSLC Certificate), father’s/mother’s name, valid mobile number, Employment Exchange Number, highest qualification, permanent district, gender, caste/category, date of birth and Aadhaar Number: you will get an Application ID.
- Login through Application ID or mobile number and date of birth.
- Apply for a specific advertisement, upload required documents, select post preferences (if more than one), fill out personal/academic details, upload photo/signature/certificates.
- Generate OTP and download Acknowledgement Slip.
- Necessary Uploads: Photo (not more than 450 KB), Signature (not more than 100 KB), Proof of Age, Educational Certificates/Marksheets, Employment Exchange Card, Aadhaar, Caste Certificate (if applicable) etc.

The process of application through the internet will start on January 22, 2026 and will end on February 22, 2026. Candidates have 5 days after the closing date (at the discretion of SLPRB) to correct typing or accidental additions by logging into their Application ID in order to make amendments to their applications. Application fee is none in any category. You must have your registered mobile number active during the process to receive updates and download admit card.

There are +5 years relaxations in case of SC/ST (P)/ST (H) and +3 years in the case of OBC/MOBC, +3 years in the case of trained Home Guards (APRO Constables only) and +2 years in the case of ex-servicemen (selected posts).
