SLPRB (State Level Police Recruitment Board) Assam has released the Assam Police & DGCD/Prison Department Recruitment 2026 for various Grade IV, technical and medical vacancies. There is a total of 274 vacancies for Assam Police, Assam Commando Battalions, DGCD & CGHG and the Prison Department. Selection Process
- Medical examination will be done for testing the health and fitness of the candidates.
- Physical Standard Test/Physical Fitness Test will be organized for the purpose of testing height, chest and other aspects.
- Trade Proficiency Test will be organized for testing the relevant trade skills of the candidates, carrying a total of 50 marks with 33% qualifying marks.
- Biometric and Identity will be tested through Aadhaar, voter card or Driving License.
- Merit list will be prepared based on Trade Proficiency Test marks with age and height or educational marks as tiebreakers as per the posts.
