FAQs
Recruitment program consists of 20 vacancies in the Trade Apprenticeship Scheme through five designated trades, including Welder, Electrician, Fitter, Motor Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) and Electronics Mechanic. There are four vacancies in each trade and the period for training is one year.
Those candidates who possess the qualification of completion of ITI in the relevant trades are eligible to apply for the apprenticeship training. Besides meeting the age requirements, the applicants need to complete the registration process on the NAPS Apprenticeship Portal prior to applying online.
The selection process for the training will mainly be based on the merit of aggregate marks scored in ITI. Selected candidates will appear for the certificate verification. Preference will be given to eligible children of VPA Employees in accordance with the prescribed preference ratio. The relevant department shall allocate trades to the candidate of their choice after completing the selection process.
Applicants for Apprenticeship will be given the opportunity to apply between August 24, 2026 and September 23, 2026. They should fill out the form and submit it online by the deadline while having the printed form too.
