Stage-Wise Selection Process for CSIR NGRI Technician Recruitment 2026
- The screening committee will select the candidates using the criterion of online application documentation and profile.
- Candidates who make the cut will be subjected to a trade test, which evaluates the candidate’s knowledge about the trade.
- Those who pass the trade test will proceed to the Competitive Written Examination that will finalise the merit list.
- It is a written exam with 150 question papers (Objective type OMR/Computer mode) to be solved in a time period of 2 hours 30 minutes.
- Paper I is a Mental Ability Test containing 50 questions for 100 marks (no negative marking).
- All the questions from paper II are of 75 marks each with General Awareness and English Language and paper III contain 50 questions on the concerned subject for 150 marks.
- Papers II and III carry one negative marks each for every wrong answer and only those who pass the cut-off in Papers I are awarded the merit in Papers II and III.
- The institute resolves cases of ties under a letter dated May 30, 2023 issued by the CSIR.
