- Written Test: Assistant Professors take an objective written test carrying 40 marks.
- Syllabus: The test is conducted on the lines of NET for science, humanities & social sciences, GATE for engineering and technology and GPAT for pharmacy.
- Academic Score: Assistant Professor scoring is according to the UGC Regulations 2018, Appendix II, Table 3A and senior posts as per Table 2.
- Phase Two: The consolidated academic and test scores determine Assistant Professor shortlisting for the second phase.
- Qualifying Marks: In phase two, the candidates of Assistant Professor must get 15 marks.
- Senior Posts (Associate Professor/Professor): 50% of the applicable total score is required for shortlisting for interviews.
- Music Posts: Candidates need to pass the skill test prior the interview.
- Objections: There should be a minimum of 7 days to object against academic scores and a minimum of 3 days to object against written test scores.
- Final Result: The selection committee presents the final result to the Vice Chancellor in a sealed envelope.

- Assist Professors candidates are given a 40 mark objective test in the subject area on which they are applying (based on NET or GATE or GPAT syllabus).

- Assistant Professors have to secure 15 marks or more in the second phase to be selected.
- Associate Professors and Professors (candidates) are shortlisted on a combined score basis (with 50% as a cut-off) and then interviewed.
