- The Employee Selection Board has an online exam of 100 marks in Hindi for 2 hours.
- The board invites the candidates for the Physical Test at seven times the number of vacancies in vertical category (7VC), which also includes all the candidates who are tied at the cut off percentile.
- The physical test comprises of a 40 mark 800 m run and requires at least 8 marks.
- There is a qualifying trade test and a committee led by the Police Director General conducts the trade test and the qualifying test.
