With approximately 1,80,849 circuit kms of transmission lines, 286 sub-stations (as of 31st July 2025) and a 1,00,000 km Telecom Network, POWERGRID wheels about 50% of India’s total power and operates in 3,000 locations with intra-city networks in 500 cities across India. With a gross turnover of Rs. 47,459 Crores and a Profit After Tax of Rs. 15,521 Crores (FY 2024-25), POWERGRID seeks professionals for its ongoing and upcoming projects through the POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test-2025.

Pay Scale
- Field Engineer: Rs. 30,000–3%–Rs. 1,20,000 (Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 30,000) + Industrial DA + HRA + Perks @35% (Annual CTC: ~Rs. 8.9 Lakhs)
- Field Supervisor: Rs. 23,000–3%–Rs. 1,05,000 (Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 23,000) + Industrial DA + HRA + Perks @35% (Annual CTC: ~Rs. 6.8 Lakhs)
- RDSS Project: Perks as Variable Pay (max 35%) based on performance.
Additional Benefits
- HRA: As per POWERGRID rules.
- Leave: 12 days Casual Leave, 10 days Sick Leave, 30 days Earned Leave/year, plus EL encashment, Maternity Leave, Quarantine Leave, EOL, Special Casual Leave.

- Written test (FTE-2025): 75 MCQs (50 technical + 25 qualifications), no negative marking.
- For engineers: written test + interview
- For supervisors: only based on written test
- Qualification marks: 40% (ur/EWS), 30% (reserved)
