The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has opened a great opportunity for veterinary professionals with our Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2025. The RPSC has released 1,100 PSC Government Jobs in India under the Animal Husbandry Department of Rajasthan. What is this RPSC Veterinary Officer Role?
The Veterinary Officer is appointed in the Animal Husbandry Department of the Rajasthan Government. Their main responsibilities are controlling disease, treating livestock, conducting disease & vaccination reports, maintaining animal health, etc. It plays an important role in the rural economy of the state.
RPSC is the recruiting authority which conducts a written test and makes final selections. All selected applicants are permanent appointments in accordance with Rajasthan state government rules.
Vacancy Details
In total, 1,100 PSC Government Jobs in India are announced for these posts in Rajasthan. There is reservation and categorizing of posts mentioned in the official notification. There are posts for General and SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, PwD and many of the other reservation group posts, as per Rajasthan state policy.

Eligibility Requirements
The following conditions will let you know where you are eligible to apply or not for the RPSC Veterinary Officer post:
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) offered by a recognized university or institute.
- Before joining, the candidates are required to get registered with the Rajasthan Veterinary Council.
Language & Cultural Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.
- Familiarity with the Rajasthani culture is essential.
Age Limit (as of 01 January 2026)
- Min: 20 years
- Max: 40 years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST/OBC (Rajasthan): +5 years
- Women (General): +5 years
- Women (Reserved): +10 years
- PwD candidates: +10–15 years (category-wise)

- Register with SSO ID (Single Sign-On) if not already registered.

- Pay application fee, if required.
- Verify all input information before submitting.
- Submit the application and download the confirmation page.
Selection Process
The procedure for selection involves the following steps:
- Written Examination (Objective type)
- Document Verification
- Medical Fitness Test
Final merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written test, subject to verification of original documents and category-wise cut-off marks.
Exam Pattern
There will be separate release of exam format and detailed syllabus. But, the previous patterns gives a good idea about the pattern:
- Animal Husbandry and Dairying
- Reasoning & Aptitude
- Veterinary Science Subjects (Core subjects from B.V.Sc)
- Current Affairs
- Rajasthan General Knowledge
The exam mode can be online or offline and will be decided by RPSC.
Pay Scale
According to the Rajasthan Government Service rules, the positions come under the Pay Matrix Level-14.
- Basic Salary: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Approx.)
- Allowances: HRA, DA, Medical Benefits, Transport, etc.
Salary may vary based on location, seniority, and future state pay revisions.
