Merit-Based Selection

The total of your Merit for Eastern Railway Apprentice 2025 depends on your Matriculation (10th class) and ITI qualifications marks. Both scores have equal importance in the selection decision.

How Merit is Calculated

Final Merit score is evaluated with the weightage as 50% of Matric + 50% of ITI.

Tie-Breaker Rule 1 – Age Preference

In the event that two or more candidates are tied for a merit score, then it shall be given to the candidate who is older.

Tie-Breaker Rule 2 – Earlier Matriculation Pass

If the age is again the same then preference will be given to that candidate who has passed matric exam first.
