Selection process
- The applications are filtered for eligibility on the basis of documents submitted, that they have completed requisite qualifications by the date of advertisement, residents of West Bengal and in the correct format with photograph, signature and self-attested testimonials.
- Shortlisting is at the ratio of 1:10 against each vacancy, choosing the best candidates based on initial merit scores from academic marks, experience and scoring proportionate to the post-specific TOR.
- Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for written tests, computer tests or practical demonstrations as applicable, testing subject knowledge, skills such as MCQ on the subjects of relevance, MS Office handling or yoga sessions.
- Interviews or viva-voce are held to test overall fitness, marks being given for communication, experience discussion and local language competency.
- Last merit list is drawn by merging academics (proportionate marking), experience (2 marks yearly to max), tests and interview with senior age as the tie-breaker; selection choice by skilled authority conclusive.
