ESIC invites ESIC Retired Medical Officer Ayurveda Recruitment 2025 for retired Central/State Government Medical Officers under the Old Pension Scheme. The eligible retired candidates with Ayurveda qualifications can attend the walk-in-interview every Friday of November and December 2025. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 68 years (as on date of reporting for interview).
- Contract extendable up to 70 years or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.

- SC / ST / PWD / Women / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted Fee.

Pay Scale
- Emoluments: Last pay drawn at retirement minus basic pension
- Transport Allowance: As applicable at retirement or Rs. 7,200/-, whichever is less
Selection Process
- Officials verify documents on the announced date and time.
- Candidates are only allowed to attend the walk-in interview if their documents are validated.
- The selection board makes final selection based only on the candidate’s interview performance.
- If there are more than 10 applicants per post, Officials may hold a screening test that includes multiple-choice questions in Ayurveda, but this test will not be any part of the final selection.
- Officials notify the outcome through email and also update it on the official website.
- Officials get in contact only with shortlisted candidates and selected candidates start work straight away after being chosen.
How to Apply for ESIC Recruitment 2025
- Visit the official website at www.esic.gov.in
- Click on the “Recruitment” section and then open the advertisement entitled “Walk-in Interview for the engagement of Retired Medical Officer – Ayurveda.”
- Read the notification carefully and check if you are eligible.
- Download the prescribed application form (Annexure – B) from the notification and take a print of it.
- Fill in all the required details correctly and attach self-attested copies of certificates, proof of age, qualification, experience and two passport-size photographs.
- Demand Draft of Rs. 500 /- in name of ‘ESI Fund Account No. 1’ in Chennai from any scheduled commercial bank (if applicable)
- Bring along the application form duly filled in, along with all original and self-attested documents required at the venue of an interview.
- The candidates are advised to report for document verification between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the date of interview chosen by the candidates at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai – 78.
- The organization will carry on the walk-in interview as per the announced schedule.
FAQs
The candidate shall be a degree holder in Ayurveda recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 and enrolled on the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine. These posts are open to retired officers of the Central or State Government services covered under the Old Pension Scheme only.
Candidates need to present the duly filled application, self-attested photocopies of the educational qualifications, proof of date of birth, documents for experience, a Pension Payment Order, two latest passport-sized photos and all original certificates for verification. The fee will be paid by the Candidates through a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- in favour of the “ESI Fund Account No. 1“ at Chennai, preferably issued by any scheduled bank.
Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview before the Selection Board. If the number of applications are large, a preliminary screening test may be conducted before the interview; however, the selection will strictly be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.
