Prescribed Age Guidelines

Salary and Financial Benefits

• First Year Salary: Rs. 30,000/- per month.
• Second Year Salary: Rs. 33,000/- per month.

Physical Standards

• Height: Minimum 157.5 cm for male candidates.
• Chest Measurement: Candidates must have a chest circumference of at least 77 cm and should be able to expand it by a minimum of 5 cm.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age according to IAF standards.
• Vision: Distant vision 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other (with use of glasses) and normal colour vision.
• Physical Fitness: All candidates must be physically capable of performing strenuous training and engaging in physical activities such as sports.

• The first phase of training is physical preparation for this recruitment. Candidates should use materials on physical training, including textbooks on endurance and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). They should also refer to books specific to their sport to achieve optimum performance throughout the IAF PFT trials in 2023.

Selection Methodology for IAF Agniveervayu Sports Recruitment 2026

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT): First, each candidate must complete the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) by running one mile (1.6 km) within 7 minutes. Next, the candidate must perform 10 push-ups and 10 sit-ups and finally complete 20 squats within the specified time limits.
• Sports Skill Trials: The second step in the hiring process is to conduct Sports Skills Trials to assess/develop candidates’ abilities to compete in the sport for which they are applying. This is a requirement of the Government Jobs in Delhi for multiple Governmental positions.
