Compensation Details
- Mode of Stipend Payment: ECS into Apprentice’s bank account.
- Stipend: As per the stipend rate decided as per Apprentices Act and Government guidelines.
- Leaves & Holidays: Admissible in accordance with Apprenticeship rules.

- General (UR) / OBC / SEBC / EWS / AFC Candidates: Rs. 100/- plus applicable bank charges.

Recruitment Procedure for MDL Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026
There are 3 stages in the recruitment process for the 2026 Apprenticeship intake, for different Govt Apprentice Training Schemes. This is one of the most competitive government jobs in Maharashtra:
- Step I – Computer Based Test (Online Examination): A 100-mark online test consisting of questions related to subjects such as English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Trade Theory/ Engineering Drawing/ Workshop Calculation in case of respective group).
- Step II – Document Verification and Trade Allocation: Candidates selected through merit-based online test will have to undergo document verification (age, caste, academic qualification etc.) followed by trade allocation.
- Stage III – Medical Examination: The candidates who have qualified in the previous stage will be subjected to medical examination as per the criterion laid down in the Apprentices Rules, 1992. Access is subject to the company’s medical officer declaring the person medical fit.

FAQs
There is an application fee of Rs. 100/- for the candidates of General, OBC, SEBC, EWS and AFC categories. However, the payment of application fee is exempted for SC, ST and Divyang categories. It must be noted that caste / disability certificate is to be uploaded by candidates during application process to claim exemption from application fee.
The selection of apprentices would be made on the basis of a computer based test of 100 marks. Candidates who pass this test and score on the merit in the same will have to go through the document verification followed by a medical test. The officer of the Company shall decide the medical fitness of the candidates.
In this context, it is necessary that applicants make sure to enter all details carefully before clicking on submit button. Moreover, there could be some time limit to make changes within the portal but this is only possible if it was done accurately in the first place; else they may not accept your application at all.
