Pay Level and Service Benefits
- Pay Scale: Level 12, Cell 1, under the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2017.

Stages Leading to the Final Merit List
- This will be based on a valid GATE score that will have a weightage of 90 per cent and interview that will have a weightage of 10 per cent.
- The Commission will issue the call for document verification of the candidates who apply for the PhD program category-wise based on GATE qualification for a reasonable number of candidates tentatively from first week of December 2026.
- Candidates’ genuineness of GATE score, certificates, eligibility, reservation claims will be verified by the officials and they may request candidates to log in to the GATE portal to show their scores.
- OPSC will shortlist candidates for interview based on merit, usually selecting twice the number of advertised vacancies in each category, with at least five candidates per category.
- The Commission may put the student through the test of reading, writing and speaking in Odia during the interview.
- Selected candidates will then enter Government Jobs in Odisha and the final list of the selected candidates will be based on aggregate marks and then the same will be sorted according to interview marks and finally older age will be considered in breaking the tie.
- All candidates short-listed will appear for a Medical Board and the Commission will announce cut-off GATE scores and interview marks on its website following the announcement of the result.
Valid GATE Score Card Conditions
- Validity: The score is valid for a period of 3 years thus score of GATE 2024, 2025 and 2026 is valid.
- Priority Mark: The candidate category for which the GATE mark is for must be equal to or greater than their GATE cut-off in the Score Card.
- Eligible Example: If the category cut-off is 33.3, then a candidate with 32.5 marks will be considered ineligible.
- Document Type: Only a QR coded score card will be accepted, a GATE mark sheet will not be accepted.
- Multiple Scores: Choose one eligible year’s GATE scorecard for evaluation and upload it with your application.
- Affidavit: A signed affidavit on genuineness must be provided on Annexure I form.
- Login Details: Ensure that the GATE enrolment ID or email and password is ready for online checking.

Health and Medical Fitness Norms
- Physical Standards: These posts do not require a height, chest or running standard to be prescribed.
- General Condition: Applicants should have good mental health and physical condition with no physical defect that would be likely to affect their work.
- Medical Board: All candidates selected will be assessed by a Medical Board and will have to meet the requirements to be appointed.
- PwD Exemption: If the health condition is not applicable, then the physically handicapped candidates are exempted.

No need to pay examination fee for all categories as the recruitment is made through GATE score. Only need to register online from October 22, 2026 to November 11, 2026, upload the necessary documents with valid score card.
Only GATE 2024, 2025 and 2026 scores are valid and the paper should be same as the post, Civil or Mechanical. The mark should be above the qualifying cut off of the candidate category and only a QR coded score card is valid, not a mark sheet.
The selection will be done through a valid GATE score (90% weightage) and interview (10% weightage).
