CBSE Group A, B, C Tier-I Exam City Details 2026 – Released

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the Tier-I Exam City Intimation to be used in recruiting different Group A, B and C posts under Advertisement Number CBSE/Rectt. Cell/14(88)/2025. Successful applicants that have registered to fill the 124 vacancies are now able to log into the portal with the registration details and view their designated city of exam. This recruitment exercise is a significant prospect to the applicants who wish to join the central government in administrative and academic departments and is regarded as one of the best opportunities of all government jobs in India. Tier-I screening test will be done on January 31, 2026 and February 1, 2026.

Assistant Secretary
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institution.
Assistant Professor
  • Candidate should possess a master’s degree in a relevant subject with min 55% marks.
  • Preference may be given to candidates holding B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualifications.
Accounts Officer
  • Candidate should have bachelor’s or master’s degree in Commerce, Eco or Finance.
  • Professional certifications like MBA (Finance), CA or ICWA are also acceptable.
Superintendent
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized institution.
  • Should have computer skills and typing speed of 35 WPM in Eng or 30 WPM in Hindi.
Jr. Translation Officer
  • Candidate should have a master’s degree in Hindi or Eng with other language as subject.
  • Additional translation certificate or training is an advantage.
Junior Accountant
  • Candidate must have passed 12th class with subjects such as Accountancy, Economics
    or Business Studies.
  • Typing proficiency of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi is required.
Junior Assistant
  • Candidate must have completed 12th class or equivalent qualification.
  • Should be able to type 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on a computer.

Application Fee

  • Group A (General/OBC/EWS): Rs. 1,750/-
  • Group B & C (General/OBC/EWS): Rs. 1,050/-
  • SC/ST/PH Candidates: Rs. 250/-
  • All Female Candidates: Rs. 250/-

Pay Scale

  • Assistant Secretary (Group A): Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- (Pay Level 10)
  • Superintendent (Group B): Rs. 35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/- (Pay Level 6)
  • Junior Translation Officer (Group B): Rs. 35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/- (Pay Level 6)
  • Junior Assistant (Group C): Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Pay Level 2)
  • Junior Accountant (Group C): Rs. 19,900/- to Rs. 63,200/- (Pay Level 2)

Selection Process

  • The candidates have to pass the Tier-1 Objective Test that assesses core aptitude and general awareness.
  • Successful candidates will go through in-depth knowledge of subjects by taking the Tier-2 Descriptive Exam.
  • Group A applicants are subject to Personal Interview to determine administrative skills and leadership qualities.
  • Mandatory requirements include typing and Skills Tests as a candidate to guarantee technical competency.
  • The ultimate choice is still dependent on a successful Document Verification and a normal Medical Examination.
