Andhra Pradesh CWC and JJB Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 182 Posts
Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of Juvenile Welfare, Correctional Services and Welfare of Street Children, has announced recruitment for Chairperson and Members of Child Welfare Committees (CWC) and Social Worker Members of Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB) for all 26 districts, in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015/Amended Act 2021 and Juvenile Justice (CPC) Model Rules, 2016/Amended Rules 2022. Applications from eligible residents of Andhra Pradesh having degrees and post-qualification experience of 7 years in fields like child welfare, education, health etc. may be sent online by December 22, 2025. The procedures of selection are shortlisting and personal interaction/interview. These are consequently, honorarium/sitting allowance would be paid as per Government fixations. Pay Scale
- Chairperson (CWC): Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 50,000/- per month (Rs. 2,500/- per sitting + conveyance + mobile).
- Members (CWC & JJB): Rs. 22,000 – Rs. 38,000/- per month (Rs. 1,750/- per sitting + conveyance + mobile).
Selection Process
- The department examined applications and verified documents to establish eligibility.
- The candidates shortlisted were recruited as per their merits, experience and contribution to the cause of child welfare.
- The State/District Selection Committee conducted personal interactions or interviews with the shortlisted candidates.
- The Government of Andhra Pradesh finally selects and appoints candidates for a period of three years.

FAQs
Candidates should be the residents of Andhra Pradesh and be aged between 35 and 65 years. They must possess a pertinent degree in the disciplines of child psychology, law, social work, education or health sciences with at least seven years of professional experience in the area of child welfare, education or health-related fields. The other conditions of eligibility are that one has a clean record, has never held political office and is not involved in some conflict of interest with child welfare organizations.
First, the department will go through applications and check documentation to ascertain eligibility. Shortlisted candidates are called upon to interact or have interviews with the State or District Selection Committee. This is done to make sure that applicants are qualified in terms of expertise and experience and they are finally installed on their positions depending on merit and suitability according to the position of Chairperson or Member of CWC or Social Worker according to the position of JJB.
Applicants will be hired on a 3-year basis. These jobs are tenure-based and not permanent government jobs. The Government of Andhra Pradesh sets an honorarium or sitting allowance to be given to the appointees.
