Pay Scale

Selection Process
- The overall selection marks are 100.
- The qualifying Post Graduate examination in aggregate percentage is awarded 75 marks.
- Applicants are awarded marks of up to 10 points depending on the years of completed since the qualifying exam of the PG/Super Specialty (1 point per passing year and a maximum of 10 points).
- 5 more marks are given to the candidates who have taken their PG/Super Specialty in Central Institutions.
- The board awards the remaining marks for contract or outsourced service in COVID-19, Tribal, Rural and Urban areas and selects candidates based on merit and reservation.

The qualified candidates should be the citizens of Indian nation and should possess the required educational qualifications. In case of Clinical and Non-Clinical posts, a PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the respective specialty is needed in addition to one year of Senior Residency. In case it is Super Specialty, then a PG Degree (DNB/DrNB/DM/MCh) is required. The candidates should be local and should be Andhra Pradesh candidates. Candidates should also meet the requirements in terms of age as well as other requirements stipulated in the official notification.
ME requires the interested candidates to submit their applications online through the official DME web-site. They need to complete the application form correctly and attach needed certificates to it. The application fee has to be paid on the internet and only applications received on the official portal within the given dates will be entertained.
The successful applicants will be paid as per the 7th UGC Pay Scales which are between Rs. 68,900/- to 2,05,500/-per month. Super Specialty posts will also receive an extra allowance of Rs. 30,000/-. All salary elements and allowances are in accordance with government regulations and are liable to change on a basis of pay scale change or departmental directive.
