The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has announced the APMSRB Civil Assistant Surgeon Recruitment 2025 under the control of the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare (DPH&FW) and the Director of Medical Education (DME). A total of 538 posts are open for qualified candidates in Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Primary Processing Units (PPUs), Urban Family Welfare Centers (UFWCs), TB Clinics and Tutors. Selection Process
- Total marks are 100.
- Academic performance carries a maximum of 75 points.
- Authorities consider MBBS marks for academic performance.
- Authorities convert CGPA or grade points as per Government Circular Memo No. 01/HM&FW/2022 dated 06/09/2022.
- Authorities award points to foreign degree holders as per grade (A Grade/Excellent – 45 points, B Grade/Good – 41.25 points, C Grade/Satisfactory – 37.50 points).
- Candidates who do not upload the MBBS marks memo become ineligible.
- Service weightage carries a maximum of 25 points.
- Authorities resolve tie-breaking in favor of the candidate with higher age.
- The board does not conduct interviews and selection remains purely merit-based.
