Eligibility Criteria for APPSC Recruitment 2025

Selection Process
- Written Examination: General Studies and Aptitude (150 marks), Technical Paper (300 marks)
- Negative Marking: 1/6 mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Viva-Voce: 50 marks
- Total Marks: 500
- Qualifying Criteria (General Candidates): Minimum 33% aggregate, at least 20% in each subject
- Qualifying Criteria (PwBD Candidates): Minimum 20% aggregate, at least 11% in each subject
- Interview Shortlisting: Approximately 3 times the number of vacancies, subject to qualifying marks

How to Apply for APPSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2025
- Access the official APPSC website at https://appsc.gov.in.
- New applicants must complete One Time Registration (OTR). If already registered, directly log in with your user ID and password.
- Find the application section for Junior Engineer Common Recruitment Examination – 2025.
- Carefully go through the notification and note all eligibility criteria.
- Fill out the online application with accurate personal details.
- Upload necessary scanned documents:
- Recent color passport photo (white background, no headgear or sunglasses, 40-100 KB JPG) Signature (40-50 KB JPG)
- APST certificate, PRC, or Aadhar Card (if asked)
- PwBD certificate (if applicable)
- Copies of mark sheets, Diploma/Degree certificates, and 10th certificate (self-attested)
- Intimation to the Head of Department or NOC (for government employees)
- Pay the application fee online—Rs. 150 for APST candidates, Rs. 200 for others, and zero for PwBD.
- The deadline for the application is 17:00 hours on October 10, 2025.
- Save a printout for future reference once submitted.
- Note that if multiple applications are submitted, only the one with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be valid.
FAQs
Educational qualifications demand a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in an engineering branch from an approved institution. Even students currently in their final year are eligible to apply. Only Indian citizenship is considered.
A total of 413 openings for Junior Engineers will be available by APPSC in 2025. These positions are divided into non-gazetted, group B and non-ministerial classes.
First, a written examination, which covers topics from both domain subjects and general studies. The examination round filters the most promising candidates for the interview.
