The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Section Officers-2025 through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for the eligible Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) in the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat. Candidates with requisite qualifications, service experience and APAR gradings are requested to apply by submitting a duly filled application form sealed in an envelope addressed to the Secretary, APPSC and sent to it by post or they can submit the application by hand to the APPSC Office in Itanagar, latest by October 30, 2025. Selection will be based on a written test and viva-voce, whereby successful candidates will subsequently be appointed in Arunachal Pradesh. Selection Process

  • Candidates will take a written examination covering General English, AP Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure Drafting & Constitution of India and FR & SR/GFR/CCS(CCA).
  • This examination carries a total of 280 marks and to qualify, candidates must score at least 33% in aggregate, including a minimum of 20% in each paper.
  • Additionally, ACR grading of the last five years contributes 20 marks, followed by a Viva-Voce worth 40 marks. Altogether, the selection process totals 340 marks.
  • Moreover, if the number of applicants exceeds the desired ratio, the Commission may conduct a Recruitment Test.
  • Finally, candidates must present original documents during the interview to confirm their eligibility.

How to Apply APPSC Recruitment 2025

  • Visit the official APPSC website at https://appsc.gov.in
  • In ‘Advertisements’, the notification “Advertisement for the post of Section Officer” will be available.
  • Fill in the required details accurately in the application form and get it recommended by the Cadre Controlling Authority along with APAR grading details of last five years.
  • Enclose self-attested copies of necessary documents (as listed below), treasury challan and latest passport size photo.
  • Submit the duly nominated application through the Cadre Controlling Authority to the office of APPSC, Itanagar on or before 30th October 2025 by 3:00 PM.
  • Only applications with at least five ‘Very Good’ consecutive APAR gradings will be considered. Take a printout/copy of the submitted documents for future reference.

FAQs

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and a minimum of five years of regular service as assistant section manager (ASO). In addition, applicants must have at least five consecutive “very good” apar grades over the last five years to be considered for APPSC Recruitment 2025.

The sample consists of a written test covering general English, Ap Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure Drafting, Constitution of India and FR and SR/ GFR/ CCS (CCA) as well as ACR grading and VIVA-VOCE. To qualify, candidates must receive a minimum of 33% grades together and at least 20% marks in each paper.

Applications should be downloaded from the official aspect site and filled duly. They should be recommended by the Cadre Controlling Authority and submitted necessary documents, including APAR grading, education certificate, orders and fees Challan. The last submission date is October 30, 2025, 15:00.
