Posted on: August 23, 2025The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the recruitment for 935 Assistant Education Development Officer posts in the Education Department, Government of Bihar, vide Advertisement No. 87/2025. Eligible Indian applicants are requested to apply online on or before 26th September 2025. Make sure that you fulfill the eligibility conditions, i.e., educational qualifications, age limit and reservation. The selection will be based on a written examination (objective type) only without an interview.

Age Relaxation

Pay Scale
- Rs. 29,200/- per month (Level-5, subject to revisions by the Government of Bihar).
Selection Process
- Written examination (objective type): three papers include – general language, general studies and general qualifications.
- Marking Scheme: 1 marks per question with 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying criteria: minimum qualifying marks – general (40%), BC (36.5%), EBC (34%), SC/ST/Women/PWD (32%). The general language requires at least 30% in both English and Hindi.
- Preparation of merit list: only depending on the marks of the written examination; Tie-breaking by high digits in general studies, then age, then the alphabet sequence in Devanagari script.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates should produce original certificate; Revaluation of written examination is not allowed.
How to Apply for BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025
- Go to the official BPSC website at https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.
- One Time Registration (OTR) by clicking “New User Registration” (proper email ID and mobile number must be entered).
- Log in with mobile number/email ID and password
- Create a profile in six steps: Personal Information, Address, Other Information, Qualifications, Experience and Photo/Signature Upload.
- Lock the profile and access the “New Advertisement” tab.
- Select the advertisement , check the criteria, fill out the application form and upload documents (via DigiLocker or manually).
- Pay the application fee (Rs. 100 + bank charges; Rs. 200 biometric fee if Aadhaar not provided).
- Review and submit the application.
- Download and print two copies of the application from the “My Account” tab for future reference.
