Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) published an erratum on December 3, 2025, whereby the online application window for Assistant Education Development Officer under the Education Department, Government of Bihar, has been reopened. There are still 935 vacancies remaining. Eligible Indian candidates who could not apply during the first window can now do so online from December 5, 2025 to December 12, 2025 via the official website. Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected through a written objective-type test based on eligibility criteria.
- The examination will include papers on General Language, General Studies and General Aptitude.
- Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks in each category as prescribed by reservation norms.
- After the written exam, officials will verify all documents and candidates must bring their original certificates.
- Authorities will prepare the final merit list based on the written exam marks and apply the tie-break policy in case of a tie.

- Navigate to the Advertisement section to find the “Post of Assistant Education Development Officer”.
- One Time Registration (OTR) must be done (mandatory for all BPSC exams; previous users of OTR must update on new portal if they require any change).
- It should be possible to log in using the registered mobile/email and password.
- Fill up the online application under Advertisement No. 87/2025 (section reopened).
- Upload live photo (via webcam), signature in Hindi & English and required documents preferablly through Digi Locker.
- Make online payment of application fees.
- After completing the process, submit the form and download or print the final submitted application for future reference.

Any candidate applying to become an AEDO must meet the educational qualifications required and meet all of the age requirements as specified in the BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025 Notification. Candidates must also ensure that they meet all other conditions related to eligibility for employment and all other eligibility conditions, including reservation conditions, otherwise, they may be disqualified from the selection process.
The selection of candidates for the position of AEDO will be based on a written examination consisting of three components: Written Examination (General Studies); Written Examination (Education Theory); and Written Examination. Candidates who successfully pass the Written Examination will proceed to Document Verification. The Final Merit List will be created based on the results obtained from the Written Examination and the Tie-Break rules will apply where it is necessary and appropriate.
BPSC will provide the date online on its own website. Interested aspirants must visit the official portal of BPSC every day to ensure that they are not late for submitting their application. Any applications submitted late or incomplete will not be considered.
