Selection Process
- Written Examination – 400 Marks
- Paper-I: General Studies – 100 Marks, 2 Hours, Objective Type
- Paper-II: Optional Subject (Physics / Chemistry / Environmental Science / Biology) – 300 Marks, 2 Hours, Objective Type
- Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.
- Qualifying Marks: 32% to 40% depending on category
- Interview – 50 Marks
- Candidates shortlisted at 2.5 times the number of vacancies
- Final Merit List prepared on the basis of written exam marks, preference marks for experience and interview marks.
Steps to Apply for BPSC Assistant Environmental Scientist Recruitment 2025
- Go to the official BPSC recruitment portal at https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.
- Do One Time Registration (OTR) by clicking “New User Registration” and entering a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Login into the dashboard using your mobile number/email ID and password.
- Profile Creation consist of six steps: Personal, Address, Other, Qualification, Experience and Photo/Signature with Profile Lock.
- Go to the “New Application” tab, verify eligibility criteria and apply.
- Upload necessary documents through DigiLocker or on the portal directly.
- Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 100 plus applicable bank charges. An additional ₹200 biometric fee applies if Aadhaar details are not submitted.
- Check and submit the application.
- Download and take a printout of two copies of the application under “My Account” for future purposes.
