BSF Constable (General Duty) Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 391 Posts
The Border Security Force (BSF) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has declared the recruitment of meritorious sports persons for 391 vacancies of Constables (General Duty) under Sports Quota-2025. Eligible Indian citizens (both Male and Female) who possess proven records of sports achievement may apply online from October 16, 2025 to November 04, 2025. This recruitment is one of the great opportunities in Indian Police Jobs for candidates who aspire to join the BSF. Selection includes documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), merit list based on sports marks and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Pay Scale
- Level-3: Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100/- (7th CPC) + allowances. Governed by New Pension Scheme.
Physical Standards
- Height: Male 170 cm, Female 157 cm (relaxations for ST, NE States etc.)
- Chest (Male only): 80 cm unexpanded + 5 cm expansion (relaxations apply)
- Weight: Proportionate to height/age
- Medical: 6/6 & 6/9 vision unaided, no color blindness etc.
Selection process
- Application Scrutiny: Online applications with sports certificates for adjudication; must score minimum 12 marks in attainments from Nov. 04, 2023, up to Nov. 04, 2025 for issuance of admit cards.
- DOCUMENTATION: Go through biometric ID check and verify documentary evidence with originals (age, education, sports, caste, NOC) for proceeding with genuineness of proofs as fakes will not be entertained.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest (males) and weight to be measured for standards plus relaxations imposed; pregnancy check to rule out for females, unfit will be out.
- Merit List: sports marks generated only prepared; breaking ties by higher achievements against age, then name; the shortlist will be complete for DME against the amount of vacancies.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Fitness as per MHA guidelines (vision, no defects/color blindness); tattoo restrictions imposed.
- Appeal & Last Selection: Unfit candidates will file their appeals within 24 hours with their respective certificates and Fee submitted for RME; final merit as after clearance, followed by training and posting.

- Register and create a profile and upload sports certificates for performance in specified events/disciplines (para 2 (A) and 4 (B)).
- Click “Apply now” for Constable Sports Quote 2025.
- Fill personal, academic, sports and category.
- Upload required documents: matriculation certificate, sports medal/certificate of participation, category (if applicable), photography etc.
- Pay the fee online (if applicable).
- Send and take a printout of the reference application.
- Candidates on the short list receive concessions cards for documentation/PST/DME online. No offline applications accepted.
FAQs
Indian nationals with qualifications as low as matriculation (which is equivalent to the 10th standard) are eligible to apply. Sports quota applicants must possess some valuable achievement in sporting events in national or international level competitions, from November 04, 2023 to November 04, 2025.
