Age Limitations
- Maximum Age for Appointment: No candidate exceeding 64 years of age will be considered for regular appointment.
- Superannuation Age: The age of retirement follows standard UGC norms for all teaching staff.
Remuneration Details
- Professor (Level 14): Entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/- per month.
- Associate Professor (Level 13A): Entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- per month.
- Assistant Professor (Level 10): Entry pay of Rs. 57,700/- per month.
Application Fee Details
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 750/- for each post applied.
- SC/ST/PWD/Female: Candidates are exempted from application fees.

Recruitment Procedure for Central University of Punjab Recruitment 2026
- Initial Screening: The process for screening applicants for CUPB’s Faculty Recruitment (and any other government job in Punjab) will consist of selecting candidates for interviews based on their Academic Performance Index (API) scores, as specified in the UGC’s guidelines.
