Coal India Limited (CIL) is a Schedule-A Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Government of India which has announced the use of Industrial Trainee (CA/CMA) in the year 2025 under the Advertisement No.: 01/2025/HRD. The selected people who have cleared the CA or over the CMA Intermediate examination are welcome to apply online between December 26, 2025 and January 15, 2026. It is a 15-month exposure course in one of the top Maharatna companies and is also among the most noticeable PSU Government jobs in India with a stipend per month and no claim over permanent work.

Selection Process
- It is based on a pure selection based on the percentage of marks received in the two sets of CA/CMA Intermediate Examination.
- Applicants must specify 9 choices of posting within CIL (HQ) and the subsidiary companies in priority order.
- The organization allocates postings based on merit rank and the preferences submitted by candidates.
- When there is a tie in marks, seniority is arrived at on basis of date of birth (oldest candidate gets most seniority); again tie arises, more marks on Class X are taken into consideration.
- In case of any deficiency in the joining, a waiting list panel of 125 candidates is made as per Government of India norms concerning reservation.

- Click on the online application link published in the notification (starting on December 26, 2025).
- Register or log in to the CIL online application portal when needed.
- Fill in all mandatory details carefully in the online application form.
- Present 9 company options in decreasing order of priority of choices among the listed options (CIL HQ and subsidiaries).
- Post unambiguous, self-attested scanned files of all the necessary files within the stipulated file type and file size constraints.

Candidates eligible include the ones who have successfully passed the Intermediate Examination of Chartered Accountancy (CA) administered by ICAI or Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) administered by ICMAI. One must be enrolled in the corresponding institute and must be at the required age during the decisive date. Candidates must not apply after having taken one or more years of similar training in any PSU.
There are 125 training slots to be provided under the notification Coal India Ltd Industrial Trainee 2025. The engagement is strictly on a training basis over a period of 15 months upon joining the same. This program does not offer any kind of permanent or temporary job following the completion.
It is purely based on merit and it is determined by the sum total in the two groups of the CA/CMA Intermediate Examination. In case of a tie, seniors are given preference and then better marks in Class X. Posting is done on the basis of merit rank and preference given.
