ECHS Ambala Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 63 Posts
Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Ministry of Defence, Station Cell Ambala Cant, has published recruitment notification for different contractual appointments of Officer-In-Charge, Medical Officers, Specialists, Para Medical and Non-Medical Staff. These selections will be done to recruit candidates as ECHS Polyclinic Staff in Ambala and surrounding regions (like Kurukshetra, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Yamuna Nagar etc.) on a contractual basis, valid for a period of 12 months (11 months in case of few categories), to be renewed after appraisal and as per the need. Selection Process
- Screening of applications for eligibility and experience.
- Short listing of candidates for interview.
- Interview by selection committee.
- Verification of original documents and certificates.
- Medical fitness examination as per ECHS Norms.
- On-Job Training (OJT) for 10 days for selected Medical posts.

- Visit the ECHS official website at http://www.echs.gov.in
- Go to “Employment Opportunities” and select “Advertisement”
- Select “Employment of Contractual Staff for ECHS Polyclinic”, region AMBALA
- Download the offline application form available.
- Fill in all the information required in the form correctly.
- Attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, PAN, Aadhaar and work experience proof
- Medical certificate, character certificate and NOC from the current employer in case of service
- Attach copy of Discharge Book, PPO and AWPO registration number (in the case of Ex-Servicemen)
- Apply on prescribed format duly completed in all respects along with one passport size photograph shall be submitted in duplicate to OIC, Station Cell (ECHS), Ambala Cantt
- Make sure to submit it before January 03, 2026 at 01:30 PM
FAQs
The application should be in the prescribed format available on the ECHS website. Candidates have to also attach attested copies of educational certificates, PAN and Aadhaar cards, work experience proof, medical certificates, character certificates and discharge documents for the ESM. The completed application in duplicate is to be submitted before January 3, 2026 to OIC, Station Cell (ECHS), Ambala Cantt.
The recruitment procedure comprises screening of applications, interviews, document verification and a medical check-up. The shortlisted candidates against the medical posts have to undergo 10 days of on-job training prior to undertaking the contractual job obligation. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and no TA/DA is admissible. Performance in the interview along with compliance to the eligibility criteria would be the main basis of the final selection.
The selected candidates will be dislocated at ECHS Polyclinics in Ambala and in the outskirts, including Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Nahan, Kaithal, Kharkhoda, Gohana and Naraingarh. The appointment will be on a full-time contract basis and the appointees shall not undertake any private practice or accept any other paid appointment elsewhere. Posts are location-specific as per the availability of vacancies in the clinics.
