IB ACIO Grade-II/Tech Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 258 Posts
The Intelligence Bureau (IB), which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has announced the conduct of the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Tech (ACIO-II/Tech) Examination 2025 for fresher technically qualified young Indian graduates in applicable engineering disciplines or master’s degree holders having qualifying GATE (the current year’s score in 2023/2024/2025 years only) in either CS or EC, to apply online by November 16, 2025. Selection Process
- Shortlisting: 10 times vacancies on the basis of GATE 2023/2024/2025 qualifying cut-off marks.
- Skill Test (250 marks): Technical and practical, as per job profile.
- Interview (175 marks): Tests subject matter and communication.
- Final Merit: On the basis of combined GATE (750 marks) + Skill Test + Interview. Waiting list made as per DoPT rules.
How to Apply for IB Recruitment 2025
- Go to the official website of MHA www.mha.gov.in or NCS portal www.ncs.gov.in
- Go to the “Recruitment” or “Careers” page and locate the ACIO-II/Tech 2025 notice.
- Read the entire notice and confirm if you are eligible as per the eligibility criteria (GATE score, educational qualifications, age etc.).
- Click on the “Apply Online” link (portal link will be activated from October 25, 2025 to November 16, 2025).
- Register with basic information (email, mobile) if new user or login if registered.
- Complete the application form correctly with personal, educational and GATE information.
- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, GATE scorecard and supporting certificates.
- Pay fee online through SBI ePay Lite (Debit/Credit Cards, UPI, Internet Banking or SBI Challan). Verify server confirmation to prevent duplicate payment.
- Check the form, submit and take a printout of the filled-in application with fee information for reference.
FAQs
The candidate should be an Indian and should possess a B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields or a Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Electronics or related degrees. He/She should have secured qualifying cut-off marks in GATE (CS or EC) in 2023, 2024 or 2025. Age criteria, category-based relaxation and any other eligibility requirement must be completed before applying online. He/She should also be willing to serve anywhere in India.
Shortlisting based on GATE scores, a Skill Test assessing practical skills and technical knowledge and a Personal Interview for assessing the subject matter expertise and communication skills. The final merit is prepared by adding the performance of all the stages and all the selected candidates shall be posted under the Ministry of Home Affairs with All India Transfer Liability.
Application submission is strictly online through the Ministry of Home Affairs website or the National Career Service portal. The examination and processing fee must be paid and the candidates should make sure by verifying that all details supplied by them are correct.
