Income Tax Department Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 97 Posts
Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CCIT), Mumbai Region has announced recruitment of meritorious sportspersons on the posts of Stenographer Grade-II, Tax Assistant and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) on sports quota in 2025-26. Indian citizens who are eligible according to the sports accomplishment, education level and age, can apply online by January 31, 2026. As Finance Government Jobs in India, the successful applicants will be posted in Mumbai Region and paid as per 7th Central Pay Commission plus other admissible government allowances.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting of candidates would be done on the basis of sports performance in known competitions as per the order of preference as stipulated by DoPT.
- The international achievements will be given priority then the national, university and state level participation with preference to winners of medals.
- Students with successful Grade-II Stenographer applicants will have to pass a dictation test (80 w.p.m) and computer typing (50 w.p.m. English / 65 w.p.m. Hindi).
- The candidates that are picked as Tax Assistants are to qualify a Data Entry Skill Test at 8000 key depressions an hour.
