Indian Air Force AFCAT 01/2026 Notification – Apply Online for 340 Posts
Indian Air Force (IAF) Masters have stated the AFCAT-01/2026 Recruitment 2025 inviting male and female citizens of India to join as Group A Gazetted Officers in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches, NCC Special Entry for courses starting in January 2027. The online AFCAT examination will be given on Jan 31, 2026 (Saturday). Interested candidates who can meet the age, educational field and physical standards can apply online from Nov 17, 2025 (11:00 Hr) to Dec 14, 2025 (23:30 Hr). Selection will be made based on written examination and SSB test. This recruitment is for Government Defence Jobs, which offer a respectable career in the Indian Air Force for suitable candidates.

Age Limit

Selection Process
- Submit the online application with fee (if applicable) on the Link – https://afcat.edcil.co.in by Dec 14, 2025.
- Appear for the AFCAT online exam on Jan 31, 2026, at the allocated Centre.
- Qualify for the AFCAT written test to receive a call for AFSB (SSB) testing.
- Undergo AFSB interview including psychological tests, group tasks and the personal interview.
- Quickly clear the medical examinations for placement in the final merit list for commissioning in January 2027.

- Read the complete advertisement and instructions thoroughly.
- Register with genuine Email ID, Mobile No. and Aadhaar Number (mandatory).
- Verify OTP received at Email and Mobile.
- Fill the personal, communication, qualification details upload photo (100-200 KB, JPG/JPEG), signature (80-150 KB), thumb impression (50-100 KB, left for males/right for females).
- Select preferences for the course and make fee payment (if applicable) through Net Banking/ Debit/ Credit Card/ UPI.
- Preview submit and print the generated application form for reference.
- One application per Aadhaar; the later one is considered. Aadhaar is mandatory for registration.

Candidates must be Indian citizens and fulfilling the stipulated age, educational qualifications and physical requirements as specified in the official notification. Eligibility varies for Flying Branch, Ground Duty-technical and Non-technical Branches. Graduates, engineering students and also NCC-certificate holders can apply under separate entries.
Selection consists of an online written test and then a SSB interview. The written test has general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability and in relevant cases, a technical component. Candidates who qualify would be called for SSB, there they would undergo a personality, leadership ability and aptitude test.
