Indian Coast Guard Civilian Recruitment 2025 – Apply Now for 14 Posts
Indian Coast Guard, Ministry of Defence (GoI) invites application from eligible Indian citizens against various civilian vacancies under Government Defence Jobs in Coast Guard Region (East), Chennai. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements as per educational qualifications, age limit and experience are requested to apply within the last date of 45 days from the date of publication in Employment News. Selection will be done on written test and trade test (as applicable). Selection of shortlisted candidates will be done in Chennai, Mandapam or Tuticorin with postings likely to be anywhere in India.

Selection Process
- Merit list based on written examination and trade test result, on www.indiancoastguard.gov.in
- Scrutiny of applications for eligibility.
- Issue of admit cards for document verification and written examination.
- Biometric/mobile verification prior to written examination.
- 1-hour pen-paper written examination (80 questions: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, Trade/Mental Ability Test; 50% to qualify, 45% for SC/ST).
- Trade test for technical posts (if any).

- Go to the “Notice Board” section.
- Click on the “Recruitment” tab.
- Look for the notice on “Recruitment for filling up of Civilian posts.”
- Carefully read the detailed advertisement to ascertain eligibility.
- Complete the application form according to the proforma given.
- Append self-attested color photograph and photocopies of educational, technical, experience and caste certificates.
- Overwrite the envelope in BOLD with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [Post Name] and category (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST)”.
- Send application through Ordinary Post to – The Commander, Coast Guard Region (East), Near Napier Bridge, Fort St George (PO), Chennai-600009 within 45 days of issue of advertisement in Employment News.
